The institution was running courses across spreadsheets, email threads, and a patchwork of disconnected tools, with instructors manually tracking student progress and no single source of truth for enrollment or completion.

Approach

— Mapped the full course lifecycle — enrollment, delivery, assessment, and completion — before writing a line of code.
— Designed a data model that could support both cohort-based and self-paced course structures without duplicating logic.
— Built instructor tools first, since adoption depended on making their day-to-day easier, not just students'.
